Compassionate Classrooms

This course offers educators powerful tools to connect with their students.  It takes the perspective that all behavior, appreciated or not, is an attempt to meet powerful, universal needs.  We will look at the primary needs that all students are attempting to meet: attention, autonomy (choice), connection, competency, and relevance.  When these needs are not met, we often encounter behaviors that interfere with learning.

Learn how to connect authentically with your students, understand which needs they are attempting to meet, and tried and true strategies for specific behaviors that will help meet everyone’s needs.
