Compassionate Parenting
What is Compassionate Parenting?

Compassionate Parenting
is a ten week course designed to give knowledge and skill for the most important job you will ever have, raising a human being.

Compassionate Parenting
is a class for parents who want to learn how to stay connected with their children, even when it is difficult.

Compassionate Parenting
teaches skills that support positive family dynamics.

Most importantly,  Compassionate Parenting teaches how to treat children with the dignity and respect that is their birthright as human beings.

The class is described as:

"Parenting the way you always dreamed...
 until you had children!"

PARTICIPANTS CAN LOOK FORWARD TO:

  • Learning and living a nonviolent philosophy (this is so much more than just "not spanking."

  • Understanding how our families of origin affect our parenting today

  • Discovering the underlying motivations of your child and yourself

  • Learning how to be an emotional coach for your child
  • Sustaining calm presence in the face of conflict
  • Mending the wounds from family feuds
  • Learning to set limits that work for everybody
  • Transforming fighting into collaborative problem solving
My intention is to make this class available to everyone.  With this in mind cost for this class is on a sliding scale based upon your economic situation.

Compassionate parenting is offered in  Ventura County and the West San Fernando Valley.  It is taught at our home base in Thousand Oaks, Ca., or it can come to your school, religious house of worship or home.
